how do you refine the picture, from the first blotches of colour to somthing that makes sense? its somthing i struggle with, do you paint it all on a new layer or just edit the first picture and keep adding? really cool btw.

I was shocked seeing the top image - a mess of lines and shapes become drastically formed, reshaped into a beautiful piece; just like the composer's work.

So, you start with big block ins, then refine them/use smaller brushes?

i tend to use small brushes very rarely, detail is only work straightforward, the block in is the most important part
