nostalgia! there are so many amazing forms you can find in Laguna! I'm discovering Natural Bridges up in Santa Cruz (similar...but colder)

awesome! there's so much movement & life- and the brisk, rapid quality of your thick brush strokes - organic & raw & genuine - make the energy- the painting- dynamic & moving & changing- alive now- the viewer inadvertantly becomes a part of the energy, as the painting plays with & rouses all of his/her senses-- he/she is then alive such as is the painting-- hearing the waves crash into & over the rocks; feeling the spray, the mist, caught in the breeze; smelling/tasting the salty air...you don't simply view this, but take it- breathe it- in...

--btw- it's so effing good that when i first saw the thumbnail in your gallery i thought it was a lovely photograph! and it was only until i read that it was in the 'traditional art > paintings' category, and then notice the wonderful brush strokes up close, that i realized it was actually a painting :bump:
*you should seriously add the word 'painting' to the end of its name ('Laguna beach rock painting') - if it fits- bc i gaurauntee many others have also assumed it to be a photo :aww:

What a fantastic sense of movement you've captured here. I just love your brush strokes and subdued colour palette. Wonderful work and, even more importantly, it looks like it was really fun to paint.

My family is from Laguna and we spent many years on that beach. I can almost smell the salty sea air from my memories when I look at this.

what size is that? because for two hours, that's just an outstanding work. I'm guessing the size is no bigger than A4 <.<

This is wonderful, Levente. I've been doing plein air painting up in the SF bay area, and I have to say it's been one of the most helpful practices I've done recently.

The colors of this look really really good - i also think that this analog speedies look more satisfying or better: mor "real", not as clean as the digital ones. great work! I guess you could also do some more details sometimes - i'd like to see some parts of the image looking more detailed and then inspiring my thoughts of how that image would look with every detail even more.
